I Maccheroni is a multifaceted Authentic Italian restaurant in Sydney run by Michelin Star trained Chef, Marcello Farioli. Known for it’s mix of traditional Italian dishes, locally sourced, sustainable produce and modern cooking techniques, the authentic Italian restaurant is tucked away in a uniquely narrow and quaint building in the heart of Paddington / Woollahra.

Chef Marcello Farioli hails from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, widely regarded as the heart of Italian cuisine. Having worked in some of the top Italian restaurants in Sydney, including 10 William Street, Otto, Fratelli Paradiso and Pendolino, Marcello’s passion is to pass on the knowledge of authentic Italian taste and tradition, as well as an awareness in the choice of local, seasonal ingredients reflected throughout I Maccheroni.

In 2013, Marcello Farioli started his catering company, Rustic Kitchen, with the aim to offer Sydney high quality Italian style catering services, using sustainable, seasonal and local ingredients. The choice of the word “Rustic” is aimed to show how Italian food can be simple and sophisticated and the same time.

Master Chef, Marcello Farioli now offers weekly authentic Italian cooking classes held at his eatery, I Maccheroni. Every Saturday, guests learn how to cook mouth-watering Italian delicacies from scratch.

Intimate group sizes of six helps ensure guests have a hands-on authentic Italian cooking experience. Guests will take home life-long skills as well as a I Maccheroni tote bag, limoncello and recipe cards.
